Project Internet gate 

„Marketplace  Zatec / Saaz“ 

A project   of the  Förderverein (Promotion Association)  of the

Town of Saaz/Zatec e.V.

In cooperation with the

Town administration of the Town of Saaz/Zatec

The interactive gate wants to  present  the town of Saaz/Zatec within the german-speaking part of

Europe as a centre of culture, of economic activities and as a tourist attraction to the public.   It is ment to be   a gate to Europe for the citizens of Saaz/Zatec, but also a gate leading from Germany and Europe  to the town of Saaz/Zatec.   By means of competent information it will offer   both sides a large variety of  cultural, economical and touristic contacts. 

The town administration of Saaz/Zatec  has agreed   by   contract  to support this internet gate   not only by  giving comprehensive information  and official statistics, but  also by  supporting  the “marketplace Saaz/Zatec”    through the media  and thereby promoting  and legitimizing  its public image   in the  home region  

The Förderverein (Promotion Association) will take care of  the editing  and administration of the  internet gate.  The Förderverein will do research for information and will also do the translation work.   It will offer all interested parties the opportunity  for self representation and thereby  create a marketplace for the exchange of cultural and economic information and goods between Saaz/Zatec and its neighbours Germany and Austria. 

The “Marketplace Saaz/Zatec”   shall be devided into the following fields: 

·       History and present time

·       Town administration

·       Tourist business and  gastronomy

·       Cultural events

·       Museums and archives

·       Sports and health

·       Business, industry, services

·       Schools and professional training

·       Clubs and societies

·       Religious life

·       Political parties and elections
